2010 Rental Policy for Vancouver homeowners and renters

Thinking about making some extra money renting out your home or maybe even just a bedroom during the 2010 Olympics? If you live in the City of Vancouver you must apply for a temporary accomodation licence.

To help create more accommodation options for visitors and workers during the 2010 Winter Games, the City is temporarily making it legal to rent out a single bedroom or an entire home for less than 30 days between January 1 and March 31, 2010. To help protect tenants from eviction to make way for Games visitors, the City has also launched an online Tenant Registry. Applications for the Tenant Registry and for temporary accommodation licences are being accepted now.
